Terms of Use
Last updated: November 2025
These terms govern your access to and use of brokerunion.ca and any related online tools or content (the “Site”) operated by BrokerUnion Insurance Inc. (“BrokerUnion”). By using the Site you agree to these terms.
No insurance contract or advice
Information on the Site is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for personal advice from a licensed insurance professional, does not constitute an offer to insure, and does not create an insurance contract. Coverage is only in force when a policy has been bound by the insurer and the applicable premium has been paid. Policy wordings govern in all cases.
Quotes and estimates
Quotes generated through our online tools or provided by our brokers are estimates based on the information supplied and the underwriting rules of the relevant insurer at the time of quoting. Final pricing, eligibility and coverage depend on the insurer’s review and the wording of the issued policy and may differ from the estimate shown.
Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not attempt to interfere with the Site’s operation, security or accessibility, scrape content for commercial use, or submit false or misleading information.
Intellectual property
The Site, including text, design, logos, images and code, is owned by BrokerUnion or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property law. Carrier and partner logos remain the property of their respective owners and appear here under fair-dealing or with permission.
Third-party links and tools
The Site may link to third-party websites or online quoting tools (including Applied WebRater and partner portals). BrokerUnion is not responsible for the content, accuracy, security or availability of third-party sites; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrokerUnion is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
