BrokerUnion Insurance Inc. is committed to providing a barrier-free environment for our clients, employees and the public, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).
Our commitment
We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.
Customer service
- We communicate with people in ways that take their disability into account, including by phone, email, video, text and in person at any of our offices.
- Service animals and support persons are welcome in all areas of our offices open to the public.
- If a planned or unexpected disruption occurs in services or facilities used by people with disabilities, we will provide notice in advance where possible.
- Our staff are trained on accessible customer service, the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities.
Website accessibility
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA as required by the IASR. This site uses semantic HTML, accessible navigation, descriptive alt text, sufficient colour contrast and keyboard-operable controls. We continue to test and improve accessibility on an ongoing basis.
Accessible formats and communication supports
On request, we will work with you to provide information about our services in an accessible format or with communication supports, in a timely manner and at no additional cost.

We welcome feedback about how we provide accessible service. If you have a question, comment or concern, please contact our Accessibility Coordinator at info@brokerunion.ca or call (905) 492-7070. We will respond within 10 business days and address concerns in the manner you prefer where possible.
